Caffeine + L-Theanine: Evidence & Considerations
L-theanine is an amino acid found naturally in tea and is frequently studied in combination with caffeine. Some human studies have examined attention-related outcomes after the pairing, but results depend on dose, timing and outcome measured.
Why this matters for proprietary blends
If a product does not disclose its L-theanine quantity, you cannot know whether its ratio resembles a particular study. Java Brain's reported label lists L-theanine inside a 214 mg multi-ingredient proprietary blend, so its individual amount is unknown.
See the L-theanine guide and Java Brain ingredient analysis.
